Space is a weapon

Mike Tyson entered close range at impossible angles; Ramon Dekkers imposed pressure until he broke the opponent's will. Opposite styles, same lesson: distance is controlled with the mind before the feet.

The power of intention

An experienced fighter reads micro-signals: weight on the lead foot, guard width, breathing rhythm. Landing the shot is only the consequence.

What to bring to the gym

  • Train *reading*, not just punching: shadow box against an imaginary reactive partner.
  • Work on rhythm changes: 2 slow rounds, 1 explosive round.

Technique without spatial intelligence is choreography. Distance is where fights are won.
